smutandeggs: Behold the Pedersen Bicycle. I’d really love to get my hands on one. It was designed by Mikael Pedersen im 1893 and they’re billed as the “most comfortable bike in the world.” He thought conventional bikes were weakest where they ought to be the strongest and heaviest where they ought to be the lightest. So, borrowing from bridge technology (that’s where you get the triangles) Pedersen came up with this bad boy. The most interesting feature is the seat. It’s a sling that can move front to back … like a little baby hammock for your taint … or lady bits, of course. Don’t all rush out to your nearest bike shop to test ride one. They’re extremely rare and a new one starts at $2,000, so it’s like I said before … I’d love to get my hands on one of these guys. Looks like it would be fun. Maybe not the life changing experience it’s being touted as, but fun none-the-less. (via) Those Pedersen’s rock!
